As a seasoned professional, I have had the opportunity to work in various fields, including corporate sales and marketing, training, and business development. However, my passion for helping others led me to therapeutic bodywork. I understand firsthand how the stresses of modern life can take a toll on the body and mind. Therefore, I aim to help clients relax and integrate all aspects of their lives- spirit, mind, body, and soul- during each session.
My interest in massage therapy dates back to a physiology class where I learned about the neuromuscular junction (NMJ) and its role in muscle contraction and voluntary movement. As someone fascinated by the natural ways our bodies function, I sought to understand more about how massage therapy could stimulate the optimal function of the nervous system and its connection with muscles.
I completed training at the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, CA, and the Integrated Massage Therapy College in Oklahoma City to expand my knowledge and deepen my skills. I also received certification in Assisted Stretching, Hospice: End of Life Gentle Touch, Somatic Embodiment Regulation Strategies, Neuromuscular Cupping, National Academy of Sports Medicine: Personal Training and Nutritional Coaching, and The Compassion Method.
As a therapist, I understand the importance of continuous learning and apply this in my journey to walk with God and to serve others.
